Mavericks run off with crown

Mayfield Mavericks won the girls team title and finished second overall at Thursday’s Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA) cross country meet at Heart Lake Conservation Area.
St. Marcellinus took the combined crown with 556 points (totals were based on the finishes of the top four finishers from each school in each division). Mayfield was second with 611, Lorne Park next with 1,087 and Heart Lake fourth wih 1,104.
