Cawthra Park Secondary School's Alix Tier won the Peel high school senior girls' cross-country running championship on Thursday at Heart Lake Conservation Area in Brampton. She finished the five-kilometre course in 17 minutes, 42 seconds.

The Peel high school cross-country running championships, held Thursday at Heart Lake Conservation Area in Brampton, had a deja vu feel to them.
The same three Mississauga athletes who, as juniors, earned the top three spots at last year's Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association (ROPSSAA) event did so again — this time as seniors.
Alix Tier, of Cawthra Park Secondary School, won the five-kilometre senior girls' race in 17 minutes, 42 seconds while Stephanie Nevison (Clarkson) was second in 18:01.00 and Amanda Sheppard (Gonzaga) captured third in 18:37.00.
